TrayShawn Wright
TrayShawn grew up in the Winery Apts. for most of his life. He has been a participant in the after school programs, a tutor, a ministry team member and is now pursuing a life of fulltime ministry, currently interning at the Free Methodist Church in Turlock, California, under the mentorship of Pastor Chris Hemberry. TrayShawn is married, has a baby boy and there’s a little girl on the way!
Kevin Williams
Kevin moved into the Winery Apts. when he was 10 years old. Prior to that, he and his 5 siblings had moved around from place to place before settling with their grandmother in the Winery community. He was a participant in the after school program, a tutor, is currently a ministry team member and a student at California Christian College. Kevin is pursuing a life of fulltime ministry and is currently in the ordination process with the Free Methodist denomination. His role with L&LUM is Community Youth Pastor. Kevin was married in May, 2008.
Sakeena Williams
Sakeena was introduced to L&LUM in 2005 when she began dating Kevin, now her husband. She began as a tutor in the after school program and is currently a ministry team member. She and Kevin have been actively working with the jr. high students in the Winery and surrounding communities for two years. Sakeena’s plan is to begin college and continue supporting Kevin in his role as youth pastor.
Joe Pena
Joe was introduced to L&LUM through the DEFY (Drug Education For Youth) program, which is a program which gives youth positive alternatives to the drug and gang lifestyle. When he entered jr. high, Joe became a student leader in the after school programs and has served as a tutor for 2 yrs. Joe gave his heart to Christ in 2007 and has felt a call to pursue fulltime ministry. He is being discipled and mentored by Pastor Kevin.
